WELCOME TO WOSO ANALYSIS UK – YOUR NEW HOME FOR NUMBER CRUNCHING ANALYSIS OF TIERS 1-3 OF THE WOMEN’S FOOTBALL PYRAMID.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?

2026/2027 will be our launch season, so we’re starting out small but mighty! You can expect analysis on all the big talking points from tiers 1-3 of the women’s football pyramid in 2 main formats:

  • Social Media – We’ll be sharing key data on our X and Instagram accounts throughout the season – use the link buttons below to head to our feeds and follow us. Please do share our posts to help spread the word and support what we do.
  • Blogs – We know that sometimes a graphic made to catch the eye on social media doesn’t tell the full story. That’s why we’ll be publishing weekly blogs during the season, taking a more in depth look at some of that weeks big numbers. You can find our latest blog posts here.

I’M NEW TO THIS – WHAT IS ‘TIERS 1-3’?

The top 3 tiers of the women’s football pyramid in England. This comprises:

  • WSL – The Women’s Super League is the top tier of women’s football and made of the 14 best teams in the country right now.
  • WSL2 – This is the 2nd tier of women’s football and includes 12 teams. Like the WSL, teams in this league can come from anywhere in England.
  • FAWNL Northern/Southern Premier Division – The third tier of women’s football in England is split into Northern and Southern leagues, each made up of 12 teams. The exact makeup of these leagues can vary year on year, dependent on which teams qualify, and their geographical distribution.
